Pearl Nail Art at Home: The Glazed Finish Tutorial
Pearl nails, cat eye nails, velvet finish nails — they look complicated. They're not. You need the right powder and about ten minutes.
Here's exactly how to do it.
What you'll need
- One Step Gel in your colour of choice
- Glazed Nail Powder
- UV/LED Nail Lamp
- Optional Top Coat
- Nail Art Palette (or anything flat to mix on)
- Dotting Tool (for mixing)
- ThinLiner Nail Art Brush
- Round Nail Art Brush
How to do it
- Apply and cure 2–3 coats of your One Step Gel, then one coat of Top Coat
- Drop a small amount of Top Coat onto your palette, add a pinch of Glazed Powder, and mix with your Dotting Tool
- Dip your ThinLiner Brush into the mixture and draw a diagonal line from one bottom corner to the opposite top corner
- Use your Round Brush to slowly spread that line sideways into a gradient across the nail, then cure
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you've built up the depth you want
- Seal with a final coat of Top Coat and cure
