YOUR IN DEPTH GUIDE TO THE PERFECT MANI
Before you start you Ezmio mani journey, it is best to determine the type of nail bed you have. The best and quickest way to decide is to assess the type of skin you have, chances are if you have oily skin, your nail beds are oily too, similarly, if you have dry skin, you will most likely have dry nail beds!
1. Begin by applying Cuticle Softener along the cuticle area and allow it to sit for one minute. Optionally, immerse your hand in warm water to enhance the softening effect on the cuticles.
2. Utilising either our Pro Cuticle Pusher or Glass Cuticle Pusher, gently and carefully push back the cuticles, starting approximately one-third down the nail bed. This step not only ensures clean nail beds but also facilitates smoother gel application.
3. Use the flat end of the Pro Cuticle Pusher or the pointed end of the Glass Cuticle Pusher to delicately eliminate dead skin around the cuticle area.
4. Use the Mini Nail Brush to scrub away any remaining particles, repeating the previous step if necessary.
5. Thoroughly wipe off any residual Cuticle Softener from the nail beds using a lint-free wipe.
6. (Optional) Trim any excess cuticle skin with our Pro Cuticle Clippers.
7. Rinse your hands thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel to remove any remaining softener residue.
8. Achieve your desired nail length and shape by filing with our 100/180 Grit File or Pro File.
9. Lightly buff around the cuticle and nail bed using our Essential Buffer ensuring a textured surface conducive to gel adhesion.
10. Use the Mini Nail Brush to meticulously remove any remaining particles, ensuring a clean nail plate free from dust, which could disrupt gel polish application.
11. Dehydrate nail plate using our Nail Dehydrator or Alcohol Prep Pad to effectively removing any residual oils to optimise gel adhesion.
12. For individuals with oily nail beds, we recommend applying our Nail Primer to temporarily alter the pH level of natural nails, enhancing gel adhesion for a longer-lasting manicure.
1. For the perfect nail prep, please ensure you have read and followed our detailed ‘How To’ guide under ‘Nail Preparation’.
2. Gently roll your One Step Gel Polish bottle between your palms to thoroughly blend the formula.
3. Apply a fine layer of our One Step Gel Polish onto the nails, ensuring meticulous coverage. Cure the polish for 60 seconds under our nail lamp. Maintain a slight distance from the cuticle and nail edges to prevent any polish from contacting the skin, thus ensuring a pristine finish. Repeat the application process until achieving the desired opacity.
5. Apply Cuticle Oil to your cuticles and massage into your skin for a salon finish mani!

2. Apply two coats of our Gel Remover onto the buffed nails, ensuring careful application to avoid contact with the skin. Allow 30 seconds between each coat.

4. Once the One Step Gel Polish becomes flaky, utilise our Pro Scraper Tool to remove the gel polish from your nails.
5. If any excess One Step Gel Polish remains, repeat the aforementioned process.

2. Starting from your pinky and working towards your thumb, apply a thin layer of 2in1 Base Coat and Extension Gel Adhesive in the middle of your nail, leaving space around the sides and cuticle.
3. Underneath your Soft Gel Nail Extension, add a drop of 2in1 Base Coat and Extension Gel Adhesive to the side where the extension meets your cuticle edge.
4. Prepare your Flash Cure Lamp for application (ensure it's turned on), then adhere your Soft Gel Extensions starting from the cuticle and working towards the free edge.
NOTE: If you notice any bubbles under the extension, gently lift and reapply more gel as needed. The application process should be smooth without the need for excessive pressure. Likewise, if the gel overflows onto your cuticles after applying the extension, remove the extension and wipe off all the excess gel from your nail and cuticle using 100% Isopropyl Alcohol. Then, repeat the process. These issues may occur initially but should not happen once you become accustomed to applying your Soft Gel Nail Extensions
5. Hold and Flash cure each extension under the Flash Cure Lamp for 10 seconds. Once all nails are done, place your hand under our Nail Lamp for 60 seconds to fully cure the extensions into place.
6. After applying and curing each extension, you can proceed to buff, trim, file, and paint your nails as desired.

5. Once you observe your extensions becoming gooey in texture, place your nails (one at a time) on a tissue. Using the flat edge of our Pro Scraper Tool, push the extension down towards the tissue. Note that the extensions will solidify after removal, so it's essential to complete this step on a tissue.
6. If any excess Gel Extension remains, repeat the aforementioned process.
7. Use our Essential Buffer to gently remove any remaining residue.

- Avoid contact with water for 2 hours after application.
- For easier application, start with your pinky and work towards your thumb. Do both your tumbs last.

- Tip: If the gem pops off, you may not have used enough glue. Adjust the amount so it perfectly fits the size of the gem.
Option 2: 2in1 Base Coat & Extension Gel Adhesive (Long-Lasting Hold)
- Apply a thin coat of 2in1 Base Coat to your entire nail.

How To Apply A Neat, Thin Coat of Gel
1. Wipe the sides of the brush along the inside neck of the bottle- you want to start with as little gel polish on the brush as possible. Place the brush in the centre of your nail and slowly move it towards your cuticle so that the brush forms a U shape, this will allow for a close and neat application near the cuticle. Do not allow the brush or gel to touch the cuticle. Once you have neatly applied the gel near your cuticles, you can brush straight up the nail. Once the cuticle and centre have been painted you want to place the brush near the painted cuticle and pivot the brush around each side of the nail, one side at a time. If you get any of the gel on the cuticle or skin around the nail you can remove with a nail art brush. Also ensure that the gel has coated the top of your nail near the free edge to ensure the layer is perfect. Cure and then repeat this process again.
Easy Nail Application Tips For Beginners
Paint in a very well lit area to ensure you can see what you are doing, as obvious as this step may be, the more you can see the better the outcome of your manicure! Please do not paint outside in direct sunlight, direct sunlight can cure our gel polish.
Always start painting with your dominant hand onto your non dominant hand to get into the groove of the brush strokes and become familiar with the gel texture.
Start on the pinky finger and paint towards the thumb, this will ensure that the gel on all nails stays as even as possible as the thumb usually points in a slightly different direction to your other fingers.
We find it easiest to paint on a flat surface so that you can easily pivot your brush or your hand around for a neat, even and clean application.
Take your time and brush slow, you will get quicker at painting the more you paint.
Ways To Avoid Your Gel Polish From Chipping
In terms of technique, capping the free edge of your nail when painting each layer can assist in creating a more solid application of your gel polish which will help with nail chipping.
Another way to stop chipping is to use our cuticle oil daily to help strengthen your nail, the stronger your nails the less chipping due to less of a bend in your nail.
