Peel Off Base Coat

APPLICATION

1. For the perfect nail prep, please ensure you have read and followed our detailed ‘How To’ guide under ‘Nail Preparation’ HERE.

2. Apply 1 coat of our Peel Off Base Coat and cure for 60 seconds under our Nail Lamp.

3. Gently roll your One Step Gel Polish bottle between your palms to thoroughly blend the formula.

4. Apply a fine layer of our One Step Gel Polish onto the nails, ensuring meticulous coverage. Cure the polish for 60 seconds under our nail lamp. Maintain a slight distance from the cuticle and nail edges to prevent any polish from contacting the skin, thus ensuring a pristine finish. Repeat the application process until achieving the desired opacity.

5. Apply Cuticle Oil to your cuticles and massage into your skin for a salon finish mani!

REMOVAL

1. Using the flat side of an Orange Wood Stick, gently glide along the edge of your One Step Gel Polish to lift it from the nail surface. Once it begins to lift, you can easily peel off the remaining cured polish using your fingers.

2. Lightly buff any remaining tacky layer with our Essential Buffer, then wipe the nail clean using an Alcohol Prep Pad.

How to Store Gel Polish

To keep your gel polish performing at its best, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, or open flames. Always make sure the lid is tightly closed after each use to prevent air exposure, thickening, or curing inside the bottle.

Avoid storing near UV/LED lamps (even when turned off), as ambient light can begin to cure the product over time.

For best results, use within 12 months of opening and clean the bottle neck regularly to keep the lid airtight and easy to open.

How to Clean the Neck of Your Gel Bottle

Over time, gel polish can build up around the neck of your bottle — making it harder to open and potentially letting air in, which thickens your polish.

To keep your gel fresh and your bottle easy to use:

Use a lint-free wipe soaked in isopropyl alcohol (or gel cleanser).

Wipe around the bottle neck and inside the cap threads to remove any dried product.

Avoid using acetone, as it can damage the bottle or affect the polish.

Clean the neck after each use if possible — especially before storing it away.

Pro Tip: A clean bottle neck also prevents that dreaded “crusty lid” moment and helps your polish last longer!

How Peel Off Base Coat Works

Our Peel Off Base Coat is built with a special mix of Acrylates Copolymer + Hydroxybutyl Acrylate. These ingredients create a flexible, peelable film on the nail surface.

Application & Curing

When you apply and cure it under the lamp, the formula polymerises (hardens) into a thin, elastic layer.

This layer isn’t bonded as tightly to the natural nail as a regular base coat, it’s designed to be a temporary shield.

The Tacky Layer

After curing, the base coat intentionally leaves behind a slightly tacky surface.

This tackiness is important because it acts like double-sided tape: your gel polish adheres firmly to the base coat, not directly to your nail plate.

Peel-Off Removal

When it’s time to remove, the gel polish lifts away in one sheet together with the base coat layer. Sometimes a thin, tacky film of the base coat may remain on your nail, this is normal and simply part of the protective shield. It can be easily removed with a cotton pad and isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or by lightly buffing with the 180 grit side of your Essential Buffer, leaving your natural nail smooth and damage-free.

Since the bond is between the gel and the base coat (and not between gel and nail), your natural nail remains untouched and protected underneath.
