Nail Lamp FAQ's

Troubleshooting and best practices for your nail lamp.

Why do I sometimes feel a heat spike when I use the Ezmio Nail Lamp?

The heat spike or heat sensation you sometimes feel during curing is called an exothermic reaction, which is common in the nail industry. This occurs when chemical bonds form in the gel, releasing more energy than needed to cure it. To help reduce this sensation, consider these tips:

  1. Avoid over-buffing your natural nails – A thinner nail bed can increase sensitivity, leading to a stronger heat sensation.
  2. Apply thin coats of gel polish – Fewer molecules reacting will release less heat, minimising the discomfort.

You can also use Our Nail Lamp’s 99s Low Heat Mode, which gradually increases the curing strength, helping to reduce the heat sensation. If the heat is still too intense, briefly remove your hand from the lamp, wait a few seconds, and then continue curing.

While this sensation may be uncomfortable, it is not harmful to your nails.

Do I need to buy an Ezmio Nail Lamp?

While it’s not mandatory to use an Ezmio Nail Lamp, we highly recommend it for the best results. Our Nail Lamp is designed to cure Ezmio One Step Gel and other Ezmio gels product perfectly. Using other lamps may not provide the same reliable results in terms of curing time and overall finish, so investing in our lamp ensures your manicure lasts longer and looks its best.

What does it mean that the Ezmio Nail Lamp is UV/LED, and how is it different from a UV-only or LED-only lamp?

Our Ezmio Nail Lamp is a UV/LED combination lamp, meaning it uses both UV (ultraviolet) and LED (light-emitting diode) technology to cure your gel nails. This dual function allows it to cure a wider range of gel products, as some gels require UV light, while others are better suited for LED. Compared to a UV-only lamp, which takes longer to cure, or an LED-only lamp, which may not work with all gels, our UV/LED lamp is faster and more versatile, curing in just 60 seconds for Ezmio products.

Is it safe to use the Ezmio Nail Lamp?

Yes, the Ezmio Nail Lamp is perfectly safe to use. It is designed with both UV and LED technology, ensuring efficient and thorough curing in just 60 seconds. While UV exposure is a concern for some, our lamp emits low-level UV light, similar to what you’d experience during a brief walk outside, and it’s only used for a short time during curing. For extra protection, you can apply sunscreen to your hands before use invest in a pair of our UV-protective Manicure Gloves.

Can I use the Ezmio Nail Lamp for other gel products?

Yes, the Ezmio Nail Lamp can be used to cure other gel products, as it features UV/LED technology that works with a wide variety of gels. However, for the best results and optimal curing times, we recommend using it with Ezmio gel products, which have been specifically formulated to work perfectly with our Nail Lamp.

Is the Ezmio Nail Lamp safe to use when pregnant?

Yes, the Ezmio Nail Lamp is safe to use during pregnancy. The lamp emits low levels of UV light, similar to brief exposure to sunlight, and is used for a very short period of time during the curing process. For added peace of mind, you can apply sunscreen to your hands invest in a pair of our UV-protective Manicure Gloves while using the lamp. As always, if you have any concerns, it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider.
